Meet Paul Jackson

Paul Jackson was born and raised on Tybee Island, Georgia, where his great-grandfather served as the last lighthouse keeper for the historic Tybee Island Lighthouse. That deep connection to the Low Country has shaped everything about who Paul is and how he shows up for his students. A graduate of Benedictine Military School in Savannah, Class of 1987, Paul went on to attend the University of Georgia and Armstrong Atlantic State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Arts in Education. His academic foundation combined with decades of real world experience makes him one of the most well rounded instructors at Urban Tide Xchange. Before entering real estate, Paul built a successful career as a restaurateur, owning and operating several establishments across Savannah and Tybee Island. He then transitioned into education, serving as a high school principal for nearly a decade before bringing that same leadership and teaching expertise into the real estate classroom.

Today Paul is licensed in both Georgia and South Carolina as an Associate Broker of Real Estate and is an approved Pre-License Instructor for the State of Georgia. With over seven years of real estate teaching experience, a Masters in Commercial Property designation from the Lipsey School of Real Estate, and a Georgia Instructor Training certificate from the GREEA Instructor Academy, Paul brings a depth of knowledge and a genuine passion for student success into every class he teaches.

Paul was born in Savannah and was raised on Tybee Island. He grew up in the crass and on the beach. His great grandfather was the last lighthouse keeper for the Tybee Lighthouse before the Coast Guard began maintaining the lighthouse. He currently resides on Wilmington Island with his wife (Carrie) of 33 years and their three dogs. Paul and Carrie love spending time with their two sons and their wives and their two grandchildren. Paul enjoys taking his boat out on the river, and fishing and crabbing or going over to Daufuskie Island, SC. for some food and music. Paul's other passion is cooking. He enjoys cooking big meals for the family, or grilling for everyone.
