What is the difference between a salesperson and a broker?

A salesperson is a licensed professional who has completed the required Pre-License course and passed the Georgia Real Estate Salesperson Exam. In the state of Georgia, Licensees must work under a sponsoring broker. A real estate broker has completed additional education, a 60-hour Broker Pre-License course,  passed a separate broker exam, and met additional experience requirements. Brokers can work independently and can supervise other licensees.
